An invitation into the future of the Himalayan Parka. To celebrate its 30th anniversary, The North Face entrusted us to craft an immersive activation honouring the Himalayan Parka's legacy while highlighting its evolution for modern urban explorers.
Spanning two weekends at The North Face Flagship store in London and one weekend in Berlin, we designed, produced, and delivered the Limitless Vista installation—a striking hexagonal capsule that immersed guests in the parka's legacy and invited them to step into a world of adventure and innovation.
The exterior of the installation featured campaign imagery and product displays, offering a 360-degree storytelling platform that celebrated the parka’s journey over the past three decades.
Inside, the futuristic, kaleidoscopic-like environment comprised faceted mirror panels and iridescent vinyl, creating an interplay of light and reflections. Complete with an integrated digital screen, guests could capture their own infinite moments in the dynamic setting.
Engaging guests through culture and creativity, each weekend featured workshops designed to connect with The North Face community of each city. In London, a Writing Workshop led by South London poet James Massiah explored themes of grit, adventure, and self-expression, turning the installation walls into a canvas for members' poetry.
The following weekend, stylist Ede Dugdale led a Photography & Styling session, inviting guests to style their own Himalayan Parka looks and capture them using Polaroid cameras, resulting in bespoke contact sheets that celebrated the parka’s versatility.
In Berlin, we tapped into the city’s rich techno culture with a Beat Producing Workshop led by DJ and producer Low.Vision. Guests embarked on a Sound Collection Expedition, capturing urban sounds and the tactile elements of the Himalayan Parka before turning their collected sounds into bespoke tracks, concluding with a live listening session.
A Photography & Styling Workshop, led by Berlin-based fashion stylist and creative consultant Theresa Gross, focused on encouraging personal expression. Theresa guided members on styling their parkas, capturing street style content with Polaroids, they curated contact sheets showcasing the parka’s timeless appeal, seamlessly adapting from rugged mountains to urban streets.
By fusing immersive design with culturally resonant experiences, we celebrated 30 years of the Himalayan Parka as a timeless icon of exploration, creativity, and innovation. Positioning it as both a product of heritage and a symbol of modern adventure, we redefined The North Face’s iconic outerwear for a new generation of urban explorers.
