Tasked with delivering a scalable in-store retail experience that reimagines retail through technology, storytelling, and human connection, we created flexible modular installations to showcase the transformative potential of Meta’s Mixed Reality and Wearable technologies in everyday life. 

As part of this project, we designed and installed retail demo spaces launching across the UK, France, and Germany. Scalable and flexible, the modular spaces were designed to adapt effortlessly to different environments. 

Rooted in the theme of ‘Expanding Your World,’ the design embodies Meta’s ethos of connection, blending bold, tactile forms with cutting-edge digital integration. These dynamic spaces bridge the physical and digital, using interactive storytelling and hands-on engagement to create a future-focused atmosphere that invites customers to explore and connect. Open areas between the modules were designed to allow customers to walk through and interact with the space from multiple angles, encouraging a fluid and engaging experience.  

Our concept centred on a customer journey of connection and discovery, anchored by key touchpoints. Hero moments showcased Meta headsets displayed side by side, allowing easy comparison of features. Explore zones, featuring digital screens and self-serve modules, highlight six core use cases, including gaming, fitness, and social connection. Educate areas use digital content to demonstrate the portfolio’s versatility, while Experience areas offer immersive demonstrations in the dedicated demo zone, allowing customers to step into mixed reality and experience Meta’s innovative products first-hand.  

Bold graphics and dynamic assets, invite customers to ‘Step Into Mixed Reality.’ The material palette delivers a clean, modern aesthetic, blending lightweight metal structures with bold, curved forms to establish a distinctive Meta environment. Digital displays and interactive elements visually connect the physical space to the immersive digital world, enhancing the sense of discovery and play through storytelling. 

A central casting screen brought Mixed Reality to life, allowing onlookers to watch real-time experiences, showcasing Meta Quest’s cross-platform capabilities while fostering shared moments of connection. The space balanced self-guided exploration with curated assistance, offering an inviting and future-focused atmosphere. 

For the Fnac Montparnasse store, we created a bespoke adaptation featuring the Meta Quest x Batman zone, transforming the space into Gotham City. Our task was to adapt our Quest fixtures with a Batman-inspired design, introducing an exciting new experience that allowed guests to ‘Become the Knight’ and step into Gotham City with a Meta Quest 3 headset.

This bespoke installation reimagined our Quest fixtures, giving them a bold, sleek black makeover that evokes the mysterious allure of Gotham City. Chainmail curtains guide guests into a shadowy, dimly lit space, fully immersing them in its gritty atmosphere. With the power of VR, guests immerse themselves in an exclusive Batman-themed experience, battling Gotham City’s notorious criminals and embracing their inner hero.

These installations were created to immerse, inspire, and engage customers, offering a hands-on journey into the world of mixed reality. By blending thoughtful design, interactive storytelling, and innovative product demonstrations, the space embodies Meta’s vision of connecting people through transformative technology, bridging the gap between Meta’s advanced portfolio and everyday life.
